My Approach

Individual Therapy

I view each person as a unity of body, mind and spirit, capable of self healing, self regulation and health. I am interested in the vision that you have of yourself in all areas of life. What if you could live the highest vision you have of yourself? Together, we collaborate to clarify and facilitate your taking the steps needed to move forward  towards greater wholeness. With my holistic approach, you can deepen your capacity for self reflection and understanding, build self acceptance, release old patterns and tap into your strengths and resourcefulness.

Couple Therapy

With couples, I work to identify and cut through negative interaction cycles, and to access underlying emotions and needs. I honor each person, working to increase empathy and to improve communication. As awareness of your impact on your partner grows, how habitual responses either enhance or inhibit feelings of connection between you, you develop the skills that allow your relationship to grow in closeness and connection. I favor working with present moment experience in sessions, using an Emotionally Focused approach.
