If you’ve had a falling out with a friend, relative or co-worker, knowing how to communicate effectively can go a long way toward resolving the issue. For starters, this means letting go of the need to be right, defensiveness, criticism and blame. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn the art of empathic listening, heartfelt acknowledgment, and compassion for yourself and the other.
In addition to my private therapy practice, I have 10 years experience teaching communication skills in business settings in Manhattan as well as at the New York Open Center in a holistic continuing education counseling program.
